The Bondão ("Big Tram"), Brill tramway shipped to Ramal Férreo Campineiro in 1921. It has two passenger compartments (first and second class) separated by a central baggage compartment. This photograph was shot at Brill works; note that the tram has no pantograph or bow collector over its roof! Allen Morrison says, It had nothing on the roof. Presumably Brill left that for Campinas to install - probably because Campinas wanted a Siemens-style bow collector like those already used on its city trams. And Brill might have difficulty supplying that since Siemens-style bow collectors were (and still are today) unknown in the U.S.. Photo from the June 1921 edition of the Brill Magazine; this copy is courtesy of Allen Morrison, from New York, U.S.A.
